Leadership is not a child�s play. It is not meant for people who have no focus in life. In leadership, you need to reason ahead and what makes this possible is to have vision. When you come across anyone striving for a leadership position, the only way to assess such a person�s capability is to analyze their vision.
Having a vision is so vital to leadership. When you lack vision, you perish. Take a look at leaders around the world with no vision and see the outcome. Even in our family life or in the organization we found ourselves � leaders who have no focus and are visionless will always lead their followers to perdition.
As a leader, you should be selfless and be able to see ahead where others cannot see. Leading be example is what will draw your followers closer to you. When you are humble, leadership becomes easier.
To hold on to leadership, dream new dreams and never you let limitation becomes a word of possibility in your dictionary of thoughts. Meditate always for new visions that would help to enhance your leadership qualities.
When you hold on to leadership, learn to embrace change. If you become like a tyrant in your dealing with those you lead, within a short time, you will lose their respect and you could be heading to a pitfall without anyone caring to tell you so. In gaining the respect of all, be open to those around you that is what will make you become dear to their heart. But in all your dealing, be conscious and deal wisely.
Do not expect all to be at the same reasoning level with you. Remember that those you will lead; no matter how good you seem to be with them, they will always be those who will oppose your good deeds. People will criticize you for nothing and will always look at every opportunity to discredit you even when you do nothing wrong. All you need at this moment is to become calm and never let their hating get into your mindset.
If you keep your calm at all time; and never have any reason to lose your focus, those who keep on criticizing you will eventually become those who will sing your praise if you keep on doing the right things. Do not fall into the temptation of going into a fight with anyone you lead. The moment you do that, you have reduced yourself to their low-level. Leadership calls for courage and to standout as a real leader, you need vision to drive you ahead of those you lead.
