Asan Ibibio

A bend from Ekom Iman Junction
There a virgin land sprung with a virgin history
Here it was our forebears first set their foot upon
As they journey across from Usakedet in the Cameroons.

Centuries have passed by
Yet our virgin land have not weathered away
But have become our virgin hope of birth
A rallying point for all the Ibibios.

Our sanctuary of strength
From here begins the spread of Ibibio civilization
For in unity our forebears found one voice
That voice that still preserved our values and heritage.

Arise descendent of Ibibio race
In hands let us join our Ifim Ibom Ibibio
Yes, our Supreme Council of Ibibio Traditional Rulers
That we shall build our treasure home Asan Ibibio.

In our ancestral home Ikot Oku Ikono
There our Asan Ibibio would ever stand
A collection of our ancestral artifacts would be housed
And the needed information about our race will be there.

Come let us join hands
Come let us extend love
Come let us build our treasure Asan
Come let us cultivate, nurture and practice -
Ima, Mboho and Eduek
That our children yet unborn would tell our story.

Selfless (Dedicated To Mother Teresa)

Ringlet on her face
Traces of faded treasure
But a heart of gold
Gold that washes humanity with elution
That purity the life of all.

She was selfless and focused
A caring soul even to the end
Which generation will birth her?
None! For her good work transcend ages.

Mother of all
A rare gem to humanity
What a humble name she bears Mother Teresa.

Weaker Vessel

Nature said she is a weaker vessel
A submissive role she most play
So she could reclaim her victory.

Nature said she is a weaker vessel
A tenderer of her vineyard she most play
So she would claim her victory.

Nature said she is a weaker vessel
A weaker vessel she should be
But how nature never said.

That in between her weaknesses
Lies that weaken strength
That could destroy any that she wishes to.

Tapped By The Sound That Awoken Me

Tapped by the sound that awoken me
Sweet smile glows my lip
Day have awoken in her shining glory
Wet pasture blossoming in their freshness
Chuckled choruses I heard sang from around.

Early to wake
Early to plan
Fail to plan
Plan to fail.

In a hash, I hummed to the shower
A perfect bathe I must refresh my mind
For a healthy mind they say is a healthy body.

Tapped by the sound that awoke me
Joy so sweet fills my heart
That I heard my lips proclaimed
I can never fail Whatever it takes to make it
That will do I
So I heard my heart said again.

5 Minute Pleasure

Soak in the passion of sweats
With the body gyrating
To every tendered touches.

The soul is alive
Jazzing to every beats
That the heart mourns.

Breath has been taken away
Consumed in the pleasure
Of illicit lust.

Yearning
How the heart
Begs for more.

Take me,
Oh! Take me as I am
It begs, it cries, it pleaded.

See how crying has become a song of comfort
In a minute they would rock the boat together
Only to relish for another passionate round
That would blow the mind to the pinnacle of cloud nine.

Defeated Hand

Crying whelms
The fragrance of death spread
World without end when shall it be.

The living watch with thoughts that travel
Route for all, a journey we all most partake
Who could change the will?

Dancers dance, sounds re-echo,
Refreshment spread, songs sang,
Prayer offered but the deed has been done.

The owner has taken it own
Who could query Him?
For that which was joint together
The hand of death has stolen away.

Who bears the pain?
Who will comfort the bereaved?
Same who taketh shall be their comforter
For life without end is like a sleep into oblivion.

Our Life

Our life is beautiful
Only if we allow our heart
To free a hold on it.
See life as a means
To make things happen
If we hate, we have sin
For no man is an island.
If God never loves us,
He wouldnt have created us equal
For with Him, all mortals are equal
Nothing like tribe.

Could We?

Though we might never be,
But in sincerity of purpose,
My heart flows like a river of joy
That never cease.

With smiles to my thoughts,
I looked into the sky and wondered,
If the day could ever be without sunshine
I looked again and smile in deep silent
As my heart began to flow in good tidings.

For a call to honour the clarion call,
In the land of the Omo Oduduwa I met her
A strong black maiden from the tribe of Queen Amina
She I would call a warrior daughter of Zion
For the value of virtuousness were clothed in her humility.

I longed to pour out my heart thoughts,
But my faith made me a pretender
For that which I saw, I ignored to speak
But in stroke silent my heart burns
A silent punishment I couldnt run away from.

Years have gone by,
But the charm of her calm voice
Resonant on every breath of the air
Now, a thought of her,
Gladden my heart to be alive.

Who will bail my thoughts from this that I feel,
For her, my days thought are consumed in dilemma
Guessing and thinking in wait
Can we? Shall we? Would we? Could we ever be?
Puzzle only her heart could solve.

This Dream

Spark my heart
With the beauty of your loving
Cast the spell that dethrone my braveness
This dream, I wouldnt let go.

Dot my heart
With the strings of your lines
Let the rhythm slows me down to ponder
This dream, I wouldnt let go.

This dream, O! This dream
My heart harbours her like a cherish treasure
Never in a haste would I let her go
This dream O! This dream is you.

Getto Love

Born in the getto
Share more love for the getto
Make it real with ma hommies
We gat love to give back to the hood.

Getto love, my getto story
If you have never live it
You will never know it
Early we wake and late we sleep
No discrimination for in one love were bond
Living for others like others lives for us.

Getto love my getto story
In the strength of love
We hustle to survive
No dull moment we never slack
Everything we do, we keep it real.

Getto love
The smile goes on
Ours is like the story book that ends well.

Ocean In Gray

Dark sea roaring in thy tempest fall
Oh! Sing the song of sorrow
For the blue sky has turned into a gray wind
And you have jointed in her gray celebration.

Who will sail at thy roaring?
For the path of all mortals has opened her mouth
Waiting that it might sing the wild song of victory
For the soul that would tempt her gray-gathering.

My Heart Beats For Her

My heart beats for her
My mind drums for her
Her whose world I seek to conqueror.

My heart longs for her
My mind yearns for her
Her whose life I seek to possess.

My heart breath for her
My mind live for her
Her who have become a single part of me.

My heart, my mind
Cant live a day without her
Her who makes my world complete.

Street Abuse

The innocence of her face
Wrapped in the basin of oranges she hawk
Buy orange, buy orange she shouted.

Days have gone by
Yet her basin of container was full
Buy orange, buy orange she shouted.

The hot sun seems to bath her with sweat
As her cloth ooze with fragrance of her body-odour
Buy orange, buy orange she shouted.

She walks across many streets
A further journey to the major road she also made
Buy orange, buy orange she shouted.

Her voice have become weaker
A pity cry from her constant announcement
Buy orange, buy orange she continued.

Night was at hand
Yet her basin of sweet oranges were full
Who will buy my oranges her heart cried?

Orange!
A deep voice came from around a building
There, her heart relieved in smiles.

By the end,
She was carrying an empty basin
With smiles mixed in regret.

How her innocence have been bought
In exchange for her sweet oranges
With a little token to cover her shame.

Beaten And Abused Children

Slaves in the hand of their Dr-Do-Good
They have made them the masters
Slaves in the hand of their Dr-Do-Good
Their bodies have been decorated with ranks.

Who have done them these?
Wicked pretenders
Mortals who lack conscience
Same who have taken advantage of their helplessness.

Salves in the palm of their heavy hands
Their faces, they have made to see the stars
Salves in the palm of their heavy hand
Their bodies, they decorate with their fingers.

Who have done them these?
Wicked pretenders,
Mortals who lack conscience
Same who have taken advantage of their innocents.

Salves in the foot of their legs
Their bodies, they turned into a football field
Salves in the foot of their legs
Their bodies, they matched like the mixed gravels.

Who have done them these?
Those wicked pretenders
Mortals who lack human sympathy
Same who takes advantage of their disadvantage background.

In the eye of the dark night
They hawks
Buy bread buy pure-water
Buy drink buy chin-chin
Buy orange buy plantain
Buy Gala buy
Buy one that I would be free to go home
Buy all that I would eat my night food
Buy! Buy!! Buy!!! that my madam would smile.

Askance

I asked so I would know,
I seek so I could find
I talk so I would learn.

Ask, for it is said it shall be given,
Seek, for it is said you shall find
Knock, for it is said it shall be open.

I asked hoping I would get an answer,
I seek hoping I would find
I knock, hoping it would be open.

Another Cry

Cries heard beyond the surface,
Tears that flows like a narrow stream
Questions asked without an answer
When shall this cry cease?

The crowd has gathered
In song of tears they make their melody
If only our Maker would repeal this decree
That has become the way of all mortals.

Tears I saw,
Cries I heard,
Confusion I behold,
Day of sorrow again!

Good people why?
Why depopulate the earth
That evil will populate.

Avenue de amour

Down the avenue of love were cupid reigns
I sang a song that the heart rejoiceth
Love have found me and I have found love
Love clothe in the majesty of royalty.

Down avenue de amour
Her gentleness have swept my feet
Gladdening my soul to sing
Love is the answer to every hate that we bears.

Down this avenue of love
A cool soul have been found
That who values a worth.

Shy

Shy by nature
She walks slowing
With submissive character
She epitomizes her upbringing.

I like her shyness
For the tension of the home
She will control in fairness
And I would be free
From the trouble of a worried mind.

Halleluiah

Language of the Heavenly
Shouted in all languages
It has no interpretation
Yet it is known to all races.

Songs of praises
Balm in healing
At the sound of it
Praises perfects the heart of all.

H-a-l-l-e-l-u-i-a-h
Shout of joy from above.

Lost Mindedness

Mind lost in thoughts
Heart dripped in emotion
Thoughts provoked to react
Today the angel must be happy
For a lost star has come home to rest
For months she was lost to uncertainty
With lines of thoughts that piles
Gazing in breathe
What an embodiment of hair
That the body could cares.

Cruel in thoughts the mind perplex
With weak desire to dominate
That which is the free gift of nature
How the heart rejoice for a conqueror story
But the foolishness of illusion
Never keeps a reminder note of warming
For a night of flirt that seems right
Is an open passport to shame
Where her pride of honour
Are like the lilies leaf that fades away.

Motherless Baby Home

Let tears drop not,
Let no skin feels any pain,
But let us look at the pains we emanate.
Why do we make what we cant keep?
O! Where is the heart that loved?
For nine months we bear the pains
Only to abandon like a waste-bin.
What shall we tell our Maker?
That His free gift to us
Have found love in a strange four walls
Were a thought of reality are the hearts
That might never found forgiveness.
But I smile for a home have erased tears
And comfort has found a new song.
We shall sing for freedom,
We shall dance for joy,
For the stone which the builders rejected,
Shall one day sat among tables,
That the Kings bouquet host.

Diplomatic Anger

In zipped of smiles
Brawls turn into laughter
In tune of politeness
Egoism dissolved in pleading.

I have found the key to happiness
I have found the key to everlasting joy
Oh! Search not further
Look in between the line
And unlock this secret.

Brewers Content In Ijebu-Ode

A sleepy town
Down South-West
Has become a treasure island
That houses the brewer.

Nineteen-Seventy-nine
Her journey began
In a little town name Imagbon
Brewing the 33 and Hi-Malt contents.

Now in the South-East
There had spread their tentacles
In Awomma-ma her abode is crowned
For a continue brewing of her contents.

Here in your abode I did my serve year
Imagbon, a land in Ijebu-Ode
Many stories of you I have to tell
Stories that sometime makes me glad.

Ijebu-Ode, land of mighty warriors,
Heard you are stingy in nature
But to me prudent is your watchword
You are truly a nature in itself.

I came, I saw, I conquer
Now I can tell your story
Maybe that should be kept to mind
But of all, you showed me another side of life.

Heart Beat

Save me the heat,
And give me the beat,
Let my heart tingle
For my heartbeat twinkle.

Save me the tension
And give me the action
Let my heart mingle
For my heartbeat yearns.

Save me the embarrassment
And give me the enlargement
Let my heart fraternize
For my heartbeat liquidates.

Save me the emotion
And give me the motion
Let my heart journey
For my heartbeat wearies.

Save me the heart
And give me the life
Let my heart live
For my heartbeat vibrates.

Save me,
Free me,
And let me be.

This Tears

In tears, Lord when will my tears reach you?
How could I live my life like there is not hope?
Didnt you create me for a purpose?
How could I be your creation?
And still the evil hands seem to defeat me?

I have done all I could within my ability
But it looks as if this load is too heavy for me to bear
Lord, where is the love that you said you love me
If you truly love me then why is my life in the dark?
I have tried all that I know, but it seems life is against me.

Lord why, how could you let my enemies glory themselves?
They thought they have gotten and are done with me
I seek redemption but it seems your hand is too far from me
What else do you want to have me do Lord?
I am sick of trying to live my life without a purpose.

This tears in my eyes
Is it to glorify the devil or to shame You?
Am I not your son? Lord, didnt you create me in your image?
Wasnt it for my sake you die that I wouldnt have to go through life
Wondering about like a sheep that has not shepherd.

Here I am, toiled by the hustles of life
I weep every moment like there is no hope at sight
Who would help me if you forsake me?
Lord when will my tears get to your mercy throne of grace?
For I need a turn around and you alone that is worthy to give me.

Lord make me that I will be made
Turn my sorrow into joy
Make my weeping to endure only for a night
Let the morning brings my desired victory
That the joy I have in You shall forever be fulfilled.

Lord I look to You inspite of all challenges
I believe You are preparing a way for me
A way that will shamed my enemies and worries
Lord, I pray Your day cometh
For I awaits the fulfillment of your promises in my life.

Unforgettable

Memories of a blissful life
Life that gathered in the bliss of our soul
Sweet memories of you
Memories that reminds us of your good tiding
Good tiding that elicit smiles
Smiles that dents like fine linen
Fine linen that blew like the sojourning of a gray blue sky.

You came,
You live,
You saw,
And now youre gone,
Gone with that unforgettable aura
That now awaits us to wait
For the day of thy glorious awakening.

Brain Box

He walks like a man
That has no foresight
A firsth look tells no story of him
Who is he?
Who knows his family?
Questions upon question asked
But no answer at sight.

He walks in slowness
In calculated speeches
He delivers his thoughts
In companion of books
He feeds himself daily
For the little loaf he carries
Are the powerhouse
That sat among Kings.

Air Of Death

Country of wealth
Bastardized by cheaters
Profit and more profit they seek
But the safety of her citizenry
Are policies condemned to the dustbin
Now the air that breathe life
Are cabin that soar in obsolete.

Fly the sky
Then hold your heart in terror
For the invention of the Wright Brothers
Had taken the name ascribed to used cars
Whose safety up above the sky
Are prayers of supplication to our Creator
For benevolent mercies in the land of the living.

Glorified coffins,
Cover your face in shame
For many children you have made fatherless
And many mothers untimely widows
Our society you have blessed with mourning
An untimely end to destinies you have brought
Just for a selfish motive to enrich your account.

Den Of Hunger

I came to a land,
Land where I knew nobody
I came to a land
Land where my belly cried for food
I came to a land,
Land where my heart is weak
For hunger is my daily bread of sorrow.

I came to a land,
Land where I would earn a certificate
That certificate that will colour my life
And set me on the path to a lasting greatness
But before I inherit it,
A true test of survival I must undergo.

Are you lost in Somalia?
Nor lost in Uganda?
Never consider Sudan nor
Where inhumanity has reduced her brethren's
To a life of walking corpses
No, not am I, but lost in a land
That her name terrifies the mind.

I came, I saw
Daniel survives the Lions den,
Hebrew brothers survive the flaming fire
This cup surely will pass over me.

Akwa Ibom Our AkwaAbasi Ibom State

Akwa Ibom
Our land of promise
In you
We found our fulfillment.

Our precious land
That flows with milk and honey
In abundant deposit of black-gold
Is the heritage of your soil rewarded.

23rd day of September, 1987 was your birth
Even before that day, you were alive
In the heart of the people that you endeared
With the hospitalities that you enthrone.

Land where the swing of hips are your glory
Your dialects a pride in the mouth of your own
How your delicacies are a delight in celebration
Your land, I am proud to be a descendant.

Land of the earliest intellectuals
In abundance
You have produced pacesetters
That your land and beyond celebrates.

AkwaAbasi Ibom
Home to the Ibibios,
Home to the Annangs,
Home to the Ukpabangs
Home to all who bears your root
For in peaceful co-existence you reign.

Year Of A New Beginning

Above the dark sky
A new dawn has come.

Above the dark sky
I saw the dawn of a new year.

Above the dark sky
I saw a brighter light.
Oh, a new day has come
A day that will take our shames away.

Green As A Yellow Page

Promises mounted like Mount Everest
Promises faded like mountain dews
Promises that cant withstand the test of time.

In the name of the Holy Books they swore,
Without a pending consciences
Of that, that most come.

Our collective sweat they promised
To uphold and protect with integrity
But see what they have done

Friendship

In bond of hope,
We were created to love
In bond of friendship
We were meant to be one
Like a bunch of broom
We were not to be separated
But be bond in togetherness.
Like two heads
We are better than one
But stronger than all
For in togetherness
We were meant to blossom
Like pasture that never fades.

Little Time

For a little time
You take it so personal
Maybe you were waiting
For the time boom to explode.

See what we have done
A little uncalled for
Destroying a good life
That had taken years to gather.

Tell me
Will giving up resolved our differences
It still marvels me
That life could turn this way.

If I was wrong
Which you thought I was
Will it makes you call me names?

Maybe your mind was made up
And the sight to flip-off
Was a motion in waiting
Now I see
How I understand.

You hurt me when you play me for a fool
Even if we all play the fool
Our degree of fooling
Are a rod that chastised our being
Why did this to the man you said you love?

From out of the blue you came

Is this for real?

Muri - The Naira Abuse

A note of honour
In honour of the assassinated General
A note of honour in exchange of liberty
A note, whose legality has been abuse.

Men in black and black
Men in black and green
Even men in green and green
Now men in brown and black
And those in apada are partakers
In our Muri-abuse.

Every drop, every block
Muris hand must grease the palms
Failures are stories the undertaker have heard.

Muri-abdusers,
Just when shall you say good-bye?

Nsikak Andrew, 24th September, 2007

Then

I looked into the dark moon
Mixed in the colour of tears
I looked into the hot sun
Mixed in the colour of the roaring wind.
I looked into the heart
Mixed in the colour of deception.

Who knows the routine of the moon?
Who can trace the origin of the sun?
Nor knows the hidden thoughts of the heart?

I looked to the moon,
I perceived the burning heat of the sun
Yet, I cant tell the secret voice of the heart.

Then I looked up,
Shake my head and walk away.

Lowered Beneath The Earth

Shout of crying
Watered with tears
Darkness in the mist of sunshine
Six feet has been dug
With two heavy sticks lay.

In company of two robes
It must accomplished her mission
For to the earth beneath,
The remain must be lowered
For a downward journey to oblivion.

Lowered in dust to dust
Slowly by slowly the robes descents
With uncertainty that thoughts provoked
Under six-feet it rested
With shovel, the earth is covered.

Heart Or Mouth

Can your soul hear your words?
Words spoken from your heart
For you came like an angel
With no blaspheming words in your heart
I heard those words and my heart gladden
I heard those words and my heart opened
Like a rose flower at the morning breathe.
Fragrances of your words
Mesmerize me like a love song
You made promises of care
Vows that would rethink a harden soul
I trip, I tremble, I freeze, I surrender
Now I know that words from the mouth
Arent the same like words from the heart.

Nsikak Andrew, 2nd September, 2007

Till Then

Upon the solid feet of her legs
I cast my love
Like a solid rock
I envisaged it will last a life time
But like a castle build in the air
I saw her fade away
Like the bright of a new dawn.

Love woven on first sight
Love nurtured through the wireless circuit
Love built through the span of years
With insight to last a life time
Yet in a movement of naked reality
I saw it puncture by a ring on the third finger.

How could this be
When the heart rejoices
That it has found her missing rib
Stories of love victory told
In the gathering of blessed saints
Yet in a journey to it actualization
Her eventual disengagement
Has been hatched within the rove ring.

Pains shall be here
Grieving in broken thoughts
That was cast in doubt of love nemesis
Till a new soul is found worthy of love
That will walk the aisle
Here will I be in search
Till that soul is found.

FIRST SUPPLEMENT OF ITS KIND

With the creation of Soul, a new health category was introduced: seed-based nutrition. Along with the creation of this new category, combinations of health benefits became available that were never conceived before. Our seed-based supplements are potent, natural sources of nutrition that dont include the potentially harmful or useless fillers that are found in pills, capsules, extracts, oils, etc.
INGREDIENTS

Soul features the synergistic blend of the black cumin, black raspberry, and chardonnay grape seed. These seeds health benefits have been studied extensively and have been found to be so effective that their compounds are used as natural medicines in Europe.

NON-GMO

Rains ingredients are non-genetically modified organisms. This means that their DNA hasnt been altered in a lab to include pesticides or other harmful additives. Our nutrition is pure and completely natural, just as nature intended.

THIRD PARTY CELL BASED ASSAYS

CELL-BASED TRIALS ARE ANALYTICAL TESTS, WHICH USE CELLS CULTIVATED IN A LAB. THEY PROVIDE TWO PRIMARY TYPES OF INFORMATION. FIRST, THEY REVEAL HOW MUCH OF A PARTICULAR SUBSTANCE IS ABSORBED INTO A CELL. SECOND, THEY MEASURE THE PERFOMANCE OF THE SUBSTANCE IN RELATION TO A SPECIFIC OUTCOME, SUCH AS THE REDUCTION OF OXIDATIVE DAMAGE OR INFLAMMATION.

RAIN INTERNATIONAL HAS TESTED SOUL WITH CELL-BASED TRIALS WHICH MEASURE THESE PRIMARY CELLULAR MECHANISMS: ANTI-INFLAMMATORY, ANTI-AGING, AND ANTIOXIDANT.

CELLULAR ANTI INFLAMMATORY ASSAY

The Cellular Anti-Inflammatory Assay is a test that determines the anti-inflammatory potential of a given material in human cells. In this study, an inflammatory component (tumor necrosis factor alpha TNF-a) is introduced to two separate groups of human cells to trigger inflammation. Next, the material under investigation is introduced to one of the groups and the effects are compared and monitored. The maximum percentage of inflammation inhibition caused by tested materials is reported.

CELLULAR ANTIOXIDANT ASSAY

In CAA (Cellular Antioxidant Assay), a fluorescent probe is placed inside of representative human cells and illuminates damage from oxygen radicals. Without antioxidant material present inside of the cells, oxygen radicals permeate through the cell membrane and damage the cells and the marker probe. This process is reduced when antioxidants are present inside of the cells. The cellular antioxidant effect of the test material is then measured by assessing the preservation effect of the marker probe in the presence of the test material absorbed inside of the cells.
